THIS IS NOT JUST ANY ELEVATION MISSION,
THIS IS THE SEMBALUN 7 SUMMITS EXPEDITION.

A privately guided, multi-day expedition across the mountains surrounding Sembalun, Lombok.

You’ll summit seven separate peaks over several days, with flexible pacing and expedition-level planning

— and official recognition on completion.

THE EXPERIENCE.

The Sembalun 7 Summits is a complete journey through one of Lombok’s most varied mountain
regions — a multi-day expedition that brings together seven local summits into a single, thoughtfully
designed program. Rather than chasing one peak, this experience is about immersion: moving
through forest, ridgelines, open savannas and volcanic terrain over multiple days.

Across the journey, you’ll move through a wide range of elevations — from lower slopes around
1,600 metres above sea level to Lombok’s highest point at 3,726 metres. What defines the expedition
is its cumulative nature: effort layered day after day, terrain constantly changing and the landscape
revealing itself gradually rather than all at once.

Each summit demands something different — and gives something different in return. Some climbs
are short but sharp; others are longer and more varied, with changing gradients, technical sections
and expansive views. You’ll move along ridgelines, scramble across rocky sections and look out over
wide-open savannas. On clear days, views stretch across the village below, across the plains
and toward Mount Rinjani & surrounding peaks

During this expedition, we move across and aim to summit seven distinct mountains

– from volcanic crater rims to exposed savanna ridgelines and technical mountain spines.

Successful completion is formally recognised by the Sembalun 7 Summits Committee, subject
to their ocicial criteria

The expedition is paced and structured around you or your group’s goals, fitness and experience.
The length and intensity of each day are set as part of the planning process, based on your objectives
and capacity. This can include long, demanding days or lighter stages focused on recovery, adaptation
and immersion in the landscape. Movement styles may include trail running, hiking or a combination of
both, depending on terrain, conditions and preference.

Whether that means single-summit days, multiple summits in one day, and choosing between an
overnight ascent or a camping-based climb on Rinjani, the expedition adapts to your fitness, stamina
and preferred way of moving in the mountains.

This isn’t about ticking summits as quickly as possible.
It’s about moving well, over time — and experiencing the region as a whole.

Here’s how that experience has landed for others.

WHAT TO EXPECT.

WHO THIS IS FOR.

This expedition is best suited for:

This is not a race — but it is physically demanding. Daily intensity depends on itinerary design and the

number of summits attempted each day. The cumulative nature of the expedition means most guests

should expect muscle fatigue across the journey.

PREPARATION & REQUIREMENTS.

BEST TIME TO TRAVEL.

The Sembalun 7 Summits expedition spans multiple days and terrain types, making seasonal conditions
an important part of planning. Timing aMects trail conditions, visibility, heat and recovery across days.

Final timing is always discussed during planning and shaped by conditions on the ground.

WHAT MAKES THIS EXPEDITION DIFFERENT.

The Sembalun 7 Summits is not approached as seven isolated climbs, but as one considered journey covering
the seven summits. How the days are ordered, where effort is pushed or held back and when recovery is
prioritised all matter.

This expedition has been completed multiple times by the founder of Elevation Lab., across different formats and timeframes — from fast, demanding pushes to slower, more immersive journeys. That lived experience shapes how the summits are sequenced, how pacing is managed across days, and how guides are trained to support you and your group throughout the expedition.
The result is an expedition that feels challenging without being rushed, demanding without being chaotic and deeply rewarding — guided with care, experience and safety at the core.
